The much anticipated Salman Khan starrer Radhe: Your most wanted Bhai will be released in the OTT platform Zeeplex in order to keep the promise of its release on Eid, like all the other Salman Khan films.
Salman Khan on Monday explained over a zoom call that he is ready to bear the losses as this will be the Movie with lowest Box Office collections unlike other films of his.
Most producers have pushed back their releases because cinemas across the country are non-functional owing to the pandemic. The actor, who is also the producer of the film, said that they are losing money because of nearly non-existent theatrical release, but it was important to keep his Eid commitment with fans especially at a time like this. The film will be available on ZEE’s pay per view service and on all leading DTH operators, alongside the few cinemas that are still functional.
Salman Khan explained that, if not for Zee he would not have been able to release the movie as committed and that he apologized to the cinema owners who were hoping to earn profits with the release of this film.
“The box office collection of Radhe will be zero, this will be the lowest ever for a Salman Khan film. Let people be happy or sad with that. It is releasing in very few cinemas in India, overseas also the number of theatres are less than usual. So the box office collection will be very poor.” He added.
The movie is releasing in theatres worldwide; adhering to the COVID protocol issued by the government; and on ZEE5 with ZEE’s pay per view service ZEEPlex in India which rests on country’s leading OTT platform ZEE5. It is also available on all leading DTH operators i.e. Dish, D2H, Tata Sky and Airtel Digital TV; giving the audience multiple options to watch the film as per their comfort and convenience.
