Kondapalli is an artisan’s hamlet in Andhra Pradesh where each home specializes in producing hand-made wooden toys. The village has been in this business of toy production for over a century.
Located in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, Kondapalli takes its name from “wooden toy”(Kondapalli bommalu). They display a large variety of toys including miniature deities at every corner in the village. The village is also popular for its dancing dolls, also known as Thanjavur dolls (adopted from Tamil Nadu).
