The National Award Winning Cinematographer dies of cardiac arrest in the early hours of Friday, He was 54. Whole of south Indian Film Industry mourns his demise, condolences come pouring in from all the Artists in social media.
Kumar Venkatesan Anand began his career as a photojournalist for several newspapers and magazines. He then switched to cinematography when he had the opportunity to work under cinematographer PC Sreeram for a few films.
He won the National Award for Best Cinematography for the movie ‘Thenmavin Kombathu’, he then went on direct movies with his debut movie ‘Kana Kandaen’ and later directed movies like Ayan, Ko, Anegan, Kavan and Kaappaan with star actors in the lead role.
He is also the founding member of the Indian Society of Cinematographers(ISC).
