Estas Tonne is a musician like no other. Born in Ukraine, as Stanislav Tonne, he started playing the guitar when he was just eight. Tonne’s music is unique and contains emotional elements woven into it. In fact, he describes himself as a ‘modern-day troubadour’. And, indeed, this traveling musician takes music to another level. Moreover, he believes that the purpose of music has a deeper meaning than entertainment.
“What guides me, what goes through this body, through this mind, through this heart is the exploration of being a human…being alive… being the vessel for Life to breath through…” – Estas Tonne
Tonne uses sounds and mixes genres to create a style of music that actually reflects his personality. In fact, anyone can relate to his style as it has elements of human nature and feelings in it. He blends genres like Gypsy, Flamenco and some characteristics of electroacoustic music to create his pieces. This traveling musician started his musical journey as a street musician. In September 2001, he moved to New York from Israel, where he grew up. Soon, he joined Micheal Shulman, a street musician and they started playing together in the streets. Later, Tonne became a solo traveling musician who toured across the world.
“I perceive the music not only as a performing art but first of all as an expression of life itself.” – Estas Tone
