Attakklari Centre for Movement and Arts (ACMA) is a charitable trust that aims to promote dance. Moreover, ACMA works make the art form accessible to all kinds of people. A former student and current associate artist of ACMA, Prashant More visited Visakhapatnam recently. The purpose of his visit was to conduct auditions for a diploma in movement art and mixed media at the dance school. In fact, this course details different movement techniques like Indian classical dance, ballet, contemporary dance, etc.
This year Attakkalari Centre for Movement and Arts (ACMA) selected three students from Visakhapatnam for the diploma course. The Bangalore based dance school understands that many students are unsure about taking dance as a career. This young dancer completed his diploma at the Attakkalri Centre for Movement and arts in 2012. Soon, he started traveling across the globe and performing in several venues. In fact, he has performed in Switzerland, Germany, France, and Greece. Also, he trained under various international artists like David Zambrano, Jonathan O’Hear, Francisco Cordova and Hofesh Shechter. Prashant also said that almost all professionals like him often collaborate with others to bring new themes and ideas.
